Tiny Champs Classes

First taste of mat life for our youngest students — play-based movement, listening skills, and the basics of safe wrestling.

Tiny Champs at Gracie Barra Boynton Beach is designed for children ages three and four — the youngest age group in the school's kids program. These classes are not a scaled-down version of adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. They are a purpose-built curriculum for early childhood development, using structured games, movement challenges, and the earliest introductions to grappling in a completely safe and supervised environment.

At this age, the goal is not to produce technical martial artists. It is to build the foundational attributes that make everything else possible: the ability to follow instructions from a coach, comfort with controlled physical contact, coordination through purposeful movement, and the experience of being part of a structured group activity outside the home. Children in Tiny Champs learn what it means to line up, bow in, listen to a coach, and try something new — skills that transfer directly to school and to every structured activity they will encounter.

Classes run 30–40 minutes, keeping the session length appropriate for three- and four-year-old attention spans. The format is consistent: a short active warm-up, a game or movement challenge that introduces a physical concept, a brief partner activity with one-on-one coaching support, and a closing routine that reinforces the class structure children begin to anticipate and rely on.

Parents from Boynton Beach, Lake Worth, Hypoluxo, and surrounding communities enroll their youngest children in Tiny Champs because the structure, discipline, and physical engagement produce visible results at home and at school.
